JR gets hurt pretty bad...

Featured Replies

Jeremy Roenick too a slap shot right in the face. Saw it on WGN News...said he had a fractured jaw among other injuries. Taken off ice on a stretcher. He was one of my favorite players. That's a bad injury.

damn, that sucks..i hope its not too bad

Damn it I thought you meant Jerry Reinsdorf. :)

That's twice this season hes had his face messed up. That sucks. Get well soon JR.

Just for accuracy's sake, JR wasn't stretchered off the ice.

He was helped off the ice by teammates and waved to the fans as they cheered for him....AT MADISON SQUARE GARDEN!!!!

That's right - they weren't cheering the injury, they were cheering that he GOT UP!!!

The animals who root for the Rangers CHEERED for the health of an opponent???? What's going on here??? Next thing you know, ShamME will get a standing O at USCF......NAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH......

That shows that NY hockey fans have class. But that happens a lot of times when an opponent gets hurt and gets back up.

Not just fractured.. shattered!! :o

Not just fractured.. shattered!!  :o

No, just broken. He was speaking at about 11PM (there is a link at inthecrease.com). Yahoo link - click it while it lasts

Also at yahoo they are saying broken, not shattered. ESPN's first news release on this did say shattered though.

Am I the only one who finds irony in the fact that a guy who never shuts up gets his jaw broke? Probably :bang Get well soon JR!!!

Moments ago on AM1000 reported shattered. Don't shoot the messenger...

Oh I am not. I thought it was shattered as well, but there was the yahoo and another link saying otherwise on www.inthecrease.com .

In New York they usually cheer when the guy goes down to begin with.

Honestly Philly sports fans are the most classless when it comes to that stuff. Maybe at first they cheer when a guy goes down in NY, but then they usually cheer when he goes off as well. Philly fans are just brutal.

This is the word from the Flyers.  pretty "significantly"  That sounds closer to "shattered" to me... ;)

Then they are changing their tune from the last two or three reports issued. It was reported that he was talking last night and I read somewhere that you can't talk if it is shattered.

All in all, it's semantics. Let's make it simple - His mouth is f'd up and there is a chance he won't be back this season!
