Â A great outing for Buehrle, but it isn't that he never had a lead and was fighting from behind or the bullpen blew it. Â sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. Â you know what would be cool. Â if the Sox take a REALLY big lead in tomorrow game. then in the fifth inning with two outs, pull Garland and let Buehrle throw to the last batter of the inning. Â then have the bullpen pitch the rest. it wouldn't be a legit win, but I think Buehrle deserves 20 wins. Â of course, that won't happen for health reasons. Ya, you could blame the offense on todays game or you could go back and look at a couple games where Buerhle got a ton of support and ended up giving up a lot of runs. Then didn't JR lowball him even further when he signed him? The owners still have leverage over guys with less than 4 years in the game don't they? Anyway, if Buerhle continues to pitch like an ace don't you think he's going to remember this when it's time to sign a long term deal for real money?
