March 3, 200422 yr Earlier they signed Cornelius something another from the Giants (DT) to a big money contract. Now all reports are that they have finalized a deal with SPrings, although the terms aren't yet disclosed. Another great move for the Skins.
March 4, 200422 yr Springs is a risk though considerin he's always injured every season for 3 to 4 games with his dodgy hamstrings. A very nice replacement for Champ Bailey though.
March 4, 200422 yr Wow, the skins are coming out firing this offseason huh? It's not goin to be good to be in the NFC East this year. All 4 teams could easily go 8-8 and betta.
March 4, 200422 yr I just find it funny that they have a top 5 pick and not another pick till the 4th round. I think they'll be much, much improved however. Though I am not a fan of the Redskins(in fact, I dislike them...mainly because they beat the Bills in the Superbowl), I really would like to see how this team looks.

I'd think their pick would definitely be Winslow now. Since they signed Winslow, they don't need Tommy Harris as much, and since they missed out on Kleinsasser, Winslow would be perfect for em.
March 4, 200422 yr Author They got a damn good coach too, one of the best of all time. As long as the game hasn't passed up gibbs, they should be pretty legit contenders. Then again people say that pretty much every year.
March 4, 200422 yr More news from da Skins, ASHBURN, Va. (AP) -- LaVar Arrington for the first time Wednesday addressed a dispute in which he claims he was cheated out of $6.5 million by the Washington Redskins. The three-time Pro Bowl linebacker signed a nine-year, $68 million contract in December, but Arrington claims he actually agreed to a $74.5 million deal. ``It was a mishap,'' Arrington said. ``We need to fix it.'' ADVERTISEMENT The Redskins have denied any wrongdoing. Contract negotiator Eric Schaffer told The Washington Times recently that the allegation was ``ridiculous'' and that Arrington's agent, Carl Poston, initialed every page of the contract before it was filed with the league. If the NFL Players' Association decides Arrington's claim has merit, the case could go to arbitration. ``Stay tuned,'' Arrington said. ``The scene gets thicker.''
