March 30, 200422 yr I am not sure if it has been reported here or not yet, but I just read in the rumors section of Sports Weekly that the Magglio for Griffey trade is likely to be revisited later in the year. Where do they come up with this stuff?
March 30, 200422 yr Who comes up with this stuff. Griffey tweaks his calf and now we want to trade our #3 hitter for him. We have plenty of outfield depth in the minors, we wouldn't add on a guy with as many health concerns as monetary concerns for that amount of years. It simply doesn't make sense what so ever.

Griffey, while his contract isn't bad for a superstar, hasn't proven he is a super star as of late and well Magglio, whose pretty much a constant has an ending contract, which means the Sox would really be making a horrible deal. If they gave Dunn and Kearns in the deal...then you'd think about it
March 30, 200422 yr I don't see how Griffey would help anything. No doubt if he was the griffey of the 90's this trade is done in a second, but those days are gone.
March 30, 200422 yr What the f***? The Reds wanna unload salary, not add to it. Dumb. They would dump contract. Griffey has 5 years or so left and Maggs is a FA after this year. How is that not dumping salary?

March 30, 200422 yr I'm sure the Reds would love to revisit this possible trade. But, I think that visit won't go any differnt for them than the last one.
