March 30, 200421 yr just an excerpt from chisox.com http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...4news&fext=.jsp Garland deals: It was Jon Garland's scheduled turn to pitch Monday, but the White Sox decided to use the right-hander in a Triple-A game at Hi Corbett Field against Colorado instead of against a division rival. Garland threw seven innings, allowing six hits and one earned run, walking two and striking out seven. Miguel Olivo, who caught Garland, had two hits, including a home run.
March 30, 200421 yr That's really good to hear. I think Garland is going to have a monster season this year, now that JM is gone. Also good to hear that Olivo hit well, albeit in a B game.
March 30, 200421 yr I'm hopin this is the year Jon and Danny Wright BREAK OUT. I've always thought as far as arm and natural stuff goes, that Wright was more talented than Jon or Mark...
March 30, 200421 yr Good for Jon. In years past we have been able to hide him at the bottom of the rotation. This year he is vital to our success.
March 30, 200421 yr In spring training he's doing great lets hope he can do what hes doing right now in the season.
March 30, 200421 yr I think Jon Garland has a chance to be our ace this year. Maybe he can help Wright and his confidence and bring him along too. I really think we are strong 1-4 in the starting pitching and hope #5 steps up soon.
March 30, 200421 yr The only one I'm really concerned about right now is Schoeneweis. Everyone else is looking pretty decent right now.
