April 7, 200422 yr Author Pretty impressive, except my roomate is from CT and won't stop drinking the UConn Kool-Aid. I guess I understand, what else has Connecticut got to cheer for? what else is a very slowly awakening football team - years away, but years closer than they were. but they are running two of the most successful b-ball programs ever, and at the same time. My division 3 school was the same - basketball was what we had. And so we really enjoyed that - 5 NCAA Div III titles and no matter what level, being there when your school wins an NCAA is an ultimate thrill.
April 7, 200422 yr New England > You First the Super Bowl, then two basketball titles. BC and Maine both in the Frozen Four. Bruins are 2nd seed in the east. Red Sox as talented as anyone in baseball. Celtics suck, but are prolly gonna take the seventh or eighth seed in the east despite everything.
April 7, 200422 yr The only problem with New England is ... there are too many damn New Englanders there.
April 7, 200422 yr The only problem with New England is ... there are too many damn New Englanders there. Simple logic. You gotta love it
April 7, 200422 yr agreed 5 states > 1 state It's actually six states, but what has been done in those six states compared to any other region is still impressive considering how little of the population they make up.
April 7, 200422 yr Women's college basketball's talent level is too shallow. There aren't enough quality "Cinderellas" like Men's college basketball to make the game interesting. It's too predictable. The women's game is a bad layup-fest that puts me to sleep. :sleep If I want to see bad basketball I will turn a Bulls game on. :headshake
