More bad news for Twins

Featured Replies

Minnesota played without two injured starters -- Gold Glove center fielder Torii Hunter and rookie catcher Joe Mauer -- and lost catcher Matthew LeCroy after he pulled an oblique muscle on his second swing of the game. LeCroy started in place of Mauer, who went on the disabled list Wednesday with a sprained knee.

Now, LeCroy heads to the DL.

They now only have catcher Henry Blanco on the roster. Their dropping like flies up here.

Hopefully we can take advantage of their misfortune. ;)

Crimsonweltalls fantasy league is devasted by this injury.

Wow. Of course I have both Mauer and LeCroy in different leagues. :bang

Wow that hurts. LeCroy is a great guy to start in the catcher's spot in fantasy leagues. Who expects the DH to get injured anyways??

That is exactly why I picked him up. It was a hedge against Joe Mauer. Now they are both hurt :bang

lecroy is faking it as a personal favor to blanco and some bench jabronis who want pt

We have to take advantage of all these early injuries to the Royals and Twins.

Add Torii Hunter to the DL parade. He was placed on the 15 day DL today.

Hell yeah! Now we really HAVE TO take advantage of the other "contenders" injuries.

Not to make an attempt at jinxing us, but I could see us being 5-8 games ahead of the rest of the pack after around 30 games while the other teams continue to lick their wounds(or while they just plain suck). If we find a way to 20-10 or even 22-8 or so, and the rest find themselves somewhere around the 15-15 mark(or even worse), and we could be looking real damn good.

Minnesota still has a good portion of their Sox-killers (Jones, Mientkiewicz, Koskie, Rivas) healthy, so the Sox still need to go all out against the Twinkies, especially in the Hefty Bag.

Considering we are going through a tough portion of our schedule, anything that keeps the other teams from jumping out to be big lead can be very important to our chances of success this year.
