April 15, 200421 yr "I appreciate that (Leskanic) pulled a Billy Koch and we were able to win," Koch said with a wry smile. "I thank you Curt." ------- William please, for the sake of our stomachs, don't make this a habit again this season... :puke By the way, it's good to be back around here...
April 15, 200421 yr He had an absolutely horrendous outing. I have tried to be a loyal supporter of Koch, but today may have been the last for me. I just can't fathom how he could get two strikes on the batters and then blow it. If I am not mistaken he was ahead of the count or at least even on every batter and then they bashed him. So much for being the closer.
April 15, 200421 yr I think Billy himself knows he fast runnin out of oppurtunities. Interestin today though, not many closers had good days though, Koch, Joe Nathan and Leskanic all got shelled. Nice to hav u back postin too aboz.
April 15, 200421 yr Put him on the DL for the rest of the season. What a great trade be Kenny. Lets see here. Put him on the DL with a bad case of choking and gagging.
April 15, 200421 yr Lets see here. Put him on the DL with a bad case of choking and gagging. Also some broken thumbs and some broken knee caps.
April 15, 200421 yr last time I checked, Jay Leno and David Letterman ain't won any World Series trophies. Kan Koch.com
April 15, 200421 yr Ya know, Botch is a total hypocrite!!! He was trying to steal a win by pitching badly, but thank God Adkins got it instead...Botch doesn't deserve to be on the roster here...I bet someone like Bullard would do better than Botch even though he has zero ML experience! Bring out Shingo, bring out Marte...But leave Botch at home!!!

April 15, 200421 yr lets not get crazy here.... that shingo is a total f***up.... koch is merely a half-f***up Last time I checked Shingo hadn't blown any saves for us or talked about how great his pitches were when they were being drilled out of the park. Koch is a bigtime f*** up in that logic. He is finished and is the only one who doesn't realize it(besides KW). Hopefully we don't have to watch too much more of his bulls*** this year.
April 15, 200421 yr if they wanna invest in this team in july, they'd better do something b4 that to solidify this bullpen. we need 1 closer, not 3, 1 closer. Koch cant keep blowing f***ing saves if we plan on winning anything.

April 15, 200421 yr For a while I was worried that we may not have to do much to improve this team at trade deadline if Harris and Rowand played solid......now we know we HAVE to get BP help asap
April 15, 200421 yr What about Wilson Alvarez? What's the general consensus on that guy? He only gave up 5 HR in 95 IP last year. He had a 1.08 WHIP ratio and a 2.37 ERA.
April 15, 200421 yr What about Wilson Alvarez? What's the general consensus on that guy? He only gave up 5 HR in 95 IP last year. He had a 1.08 WHIP ratio and a 2.37 ERA. Holy s***. His ERA at Dodger Stadium was 0.57 last year. His ERA on the road was 4.18, however. Mostly as a starter, though. His curveball and changeup are still very effective. His fastball peaks out at 90 MPH.
April 15, 200421 yr Alvarez would be a band-aid on a chain saw wound. He would help, but not all that much.
April 15, 200421 yr Alvarez would be a band-aid on a chain saw wound. He would help, but not all that much. He'd be a nice fit, though. Guillen would welcome him back with open arms.

April 15, 200421 yr He closed a game for the Dodgers recently. I think he got the three-inning save --- you can be winning by 40 runs and pitch the last 3 innings of a ballgame, you get the save if it is determined by the official scorekeeper that you were effective. Danny Wright got one of those last year...
