The problem with this poll is that you can truthfully say that Frank is the greatest player in Sox history, but still feel it's time for him to stop b****ing or leave. Frank's inability to keep his mouth shut, or stay clear of controversy when he opens it, leads people to the land of mixed emotions. He's our greatest player ever, and often times he comes off as a pissy whiner.

Frank should pass Joe Morgan in BB for 4th place when all is said and done, but he won't catch Ruth, Bonds, or Henderson.

Thanks SS.

This list really shows Bonds dominance.  It reads almost like an MVP award list.

The Babe appears on the list 11 times & Barry appears 9 times.

No one else compares to these 2.

That's why always specify that Ruth was the greatest player of the first half of 20th century and Bonds -- second.

Of course, if Roid allegations are proven true, then invalidates everything Bonds has done in the last 5 years. But until then, he is the greatest hitter of our generation at the very least.

im just glad hes on the sox hes a classic

WAS- hes probably at the end of his prime

wow...i don't remember seeing frank in that movie... :huh

Yep...He's in for a short stint towards the beginning. He just is hitting a few HR's in BP, he's more of an extra if anything.

I meant it that way but had used enough big words in my posts already today

It certainly appears most of us die hard fans appreciate Frank, based on the poll results.

the thing is, if you saw frank playing 9 or 10 years ago, then you can't not vote for the first option...i remember watching him play and feeling very lucky that the best player in all of baseball was on my team

This year, really impressive so far.. keep it up

i would say frank would rank 2nd the shoeless joe jackson but b4 those injuries slowed him down if he kept producing he might of passed him up as the white sox best hitter ever
