I'd say if you asked 100 Sox fans before the season if they thought at this point of the season we'd be 10-7, most of them would have thought no way. We just need to win series, which starts again tomorrow with the finale against Tampa Bay...

Half of our wins are losses if Yankees are in mid-season form and D-Rays/Royals have a reliever worth a damn. The "it's early" s*** doesn't work - we've all seen it in 2001 and 2003. After 2 losses to to NY, Sox needed to steam-roll over Tampa and Cleveland without dropping a game. That's what teams with killer instinct and playoff aspirations do. Corpseball is all we got instead. Hopefully Buerhle stops the bleeding.

The Twins have yet to face anybody with a legitimate pitching staff, and the Tigers are just a surprise so far. You say playoff teams steamroll through Tampa Bay like it's nothing. Sweeping a team--I don't care who--is tough. Teams try to put themselves in situations to take the series, it's an added plus if they can sweep. We are 10-7 and not particulary playing great. We were 8-4 when we were playing great. Every team has their struggles. It's cold in Chicago, really f***ing cold, thus it's real damn hard to hit the ball. Relax. Christ.

Again, sweeping teams is very hard - All the Sox need to do is win series', like Bob said. Win tommorow, and you win the series. The Sox have lost one series so far this season, tied two, IIRC.

Buehrle is our stopper and should win tomorrows game for us, but the world won't end if he doesn't. He seems like a nice enough guy, but I don't think our new ss Kelly Graffaninoschlabotnik or whatever is neame is, appears to be a player. He reminds me of a pitcher hitting at the plate.

And that happening is pretty damn good considering all those people that said the Sox were going to just be mediocre this year. And in response about the new SS Kelly...I agree, he's probably a decent guy...but he's been pretty disappointing at the plate. So to him.
