It's a long season, so let's try to keep things in perspective about losing a game and then suggesting a lineup change, trading Carlos Lee or bringing players up and down from the minors...

I'd say if you asked 100 Sox fans before the season if they thought at this point of the season we'd be 10-7, most of them would have thought no way.

We just need to win series, which starts again tomorrow with the finale against Tampa Bay...

No, "we" need to play BETTER.

Half of our wins are losses if Yankees are in mid-season form and D-Rays/Royals have a reliever worth a damn.

The "it's early" s*** doesn't work - we've all seen it in 2001 and 2003.

After 2 losses to to NY, Sox needed to steam-roll over Tampa and Cleveland without dropping a game. That's what teams with killer instinct and playoff aspirations do. Corpseball is all we got instead. Hopefully Buerhle stops the bleeding.

What the hell do you want? 17-0. The Marlins are the only team off to a great start. The Twins have yet to face anybody with a legitimate pitching staff, and the Tigers are just a surprise so far.

You say playoff teams steamroll through Tampa Bay like it's nothing. Sweeping a team--I don't care who--is tough. Teams try to put themselves in situations to take the series, it's an added plus if they can sweep.

We are 10-7 and not particulary playing great. We were 8-4 when we were playing great. Every team has their struggles. It's cold in Chicago, really f***ing cold, thus it's real damn hard to hit the ball.

Relax. Christ.

I wanted a sweep in KC.

I wanted a sweep in Tampa.

I wanted a sweep of TB in Chicago.

I wanty a sweep of the Tribe.

13-4 start and a line-up full of hitters whose excellent batspeed is only exceeded by their amazing pitch-recogniztion and discipline.

And no Koch.

And no Wright.

And no Harris.

And I want the Cubs to have started at 5-12.

That's not much to ask, is it?

Welcome to the real world. You get nothing you want.

Yes, it is too much to ask, actually. Again, sweeping teams is very hard - All the Sox need to do is win series', like Bob said. Win tommorow, and you win the series. The Sox have lost one series so far this season, tied two, IIRC.

Win tommorow, and you win the series

Are you sure about that?

Oh and yeah tomorrow Buerhle better throw like his best game ever cuz I already penciled it down as an easy win.

Buehrle is our stopper and should win tomorrows game for us, but the world won't end if he doesn't.

This is baseball, you'll eventually learn that the eraser on your pencil is valuable. ...Don't ever 'pen' anything in. You'll kill yourself.

What I want is

a win of the series vs. KC

a win of the series vs. Tampa

I win of the series vs. Cleve

AND A HEALTHY TEAM.

p.s. He seems like a nice enough guy, but I don't think our

new ss Kelly Graffaninoschlabotnik or whatever is neame is,

appears to be a player.

He reminds me of a pitcher hitting at the plate.

What I want is

a win of the series vs. Tampa

And that happening is pretty damn good considering all those people that said the Sox were going to just be mediocre this year.

And in response about the new SS Kelly...I agree, he's probably a decent guy...but he's been pretty disappointing at the plate. So :P to him.

Um, we dont need a Everyone Relax thread for every loss. I am sorry, but no team has ever gone undefeated.
