Sunday 4/25 Game Thread

Featured Replies

I've just been busy of late....I give my senior project on May 6, after that my year's basically over. So I'll be able to get on a little more then. However, I'll still have baseball, so once June hits, I'll be on more frequently.

Joe "The Vacuum" (as hawk would say) Crede catchs one in foul territory and were outta this one.

TIME TO WAKE UP THE DAMN BATS.

oh yeah juan uribe shoulda had a little bit more discipline at the plate with 1st and 3rd no outs.

What the hell is wrong with this team, we are swinging for the fences, I have not seen good execution in 3 games.

Where is the OZZIEBALL!?!?!?!

ZZZZZZZZZZ.......

he gawn, but that was a long at bat

Buehrle with a K.

Just logging in for the game info. Is it just me or does it seem our pitchers give up a lot of homers? Our batters seem to be swinging for the fences and not getting the homers. Doesn't equal out does it?

it's called manuel ball, welcome back

I watched the game yesterday on WGN. I agree with others about plate discipline. The Sox had the sacks packed in the 8th I think it was and two outs. Lee swings at the 1st pitch and pops out to right. Uribe swings at everything and it seems the others are either missing everyhting or swinging for downtown. Ozzie ball? I don't think so.

I fully expect the sox to go into a major tailspin now.

as I say that two more swings for the fences.

f***in pathetic, pull your heads out of your asses and earn some runs the old fashinoned way.

exactly uribe should've done something other then swinging at the first pitch (i think it was) and grounding into a double play.

I thought we beat this guy Gonzalez in TB last week? Now he looks like Cy Young.

A few more corpse ball efforts and maybe I'll be starting to think JM wasn't the problem last year.

i can't figure this team out at all

They will learn Ozzie ball as this season progresses. It's still very early into the season and we have a winning record. Be satisfied of what we have rather than talk about the negatives too much.

not exactly cy young, he seems kinda wild and cant seem to control some of his pitches.

We won on homers, now the bats are silent.

I agree with you on that. If we have a coach that preaches patience then what is happening here? Do we miss Jose Valentin that much? Maybe having that bat in the line up puts a bit more pressure on the opposing team and protects Maggs better?

Valentin at least has some discipline whereas Uribe swings at everything.

One positive spin on this game then is the fact Buerhle hasn't let the 8 runs and 2 innings in the last start bother him. That's why I like the guy so much. He has given up 8 hits in 6 innings, but he seems to do that a lot. His control is good (no walks) and he is getting some k's. Just too bad about that homer to Huff.

f*** you white Sox, use your ufckin heads.

Does anyone else find it ironic that we have 4 hits today and 3 of them belong to Willie?

I think this team flat out sucks right now Donkey, only one not trying to homer is Willie.

Harris with 3 hits is good too. He had been in a slump. Hustled the last one into an out though. I don't know if it was close or not?
