CSF
From the Daily Herald: Quick learner In many ways, Brooks Boyer already is the antithesis of his predecessor. The new White Sox marketing boss wants Cubs fans to know they're welcome on the South Side and he'd be thrilled if they came to check out his ballpark. He also sounds open to all suggestions, won't rule anything out, will listen to all ideas and will act on them quickly if it will help make the fan experience better. This is a major change from the previous marketing regime and a very positive first sign. We wish him luck.
The Critic
That was taken from the score, I heard the interview. He seems like a really nice guy, very friendly. Someone called in talking about upperdeck people being able to come down stairs, and he said that it is a very important issue for next season. I know we beat that topic to death last season, but they NEED to drop that policy. Any fan who buys a ticket deserves the option to enjoy the entire USCF experience, especially now that they've made such nice improvements. To restrict upper deck people from the lower concourse and FanDeck comes off looking like you're trying to bully people into buying more expensive tickets. It's a bad policy and it makes Sox management seem rude and cheap ( Imagine THAT! )

Considering the two incidents that took place I think it was a good idea to show some "muscle".

I regret we have that policy but I agree it is a regrettable necessity imposed on us by MLB.
FlaSoxxJim
One thing the Bulls did for season ticket holders was give them ALL the giveaway's upfront. Nothing worse than getting to the park late and not getting a bobblehead you want. Several friend of ours are Bulls ST holders just because of that perk. That is a great idea. southsider2k5
That is a great idea. So out of curiousity, if you present a season ticket at the gate, would get another give away or would they know you already got it, and not give you one? I think it's fine for sell out days to keep order and lines at the bathrooms shorter, but when they have 12,000 it's a bad idea.
mreye
And another thing. I feel "bullied" when I'm forced to the nearest ramp exit after the game. This one time (at band camp ) my group was witing for me after I went to the bathroom and I wanted to get back ove by them and just started walking towards them through the ushers and literally got a body check from one of them. That's just wrong.

When Mat came in last year, on the saturday homer game prior to the 4-15-03 incident we stayed up despite the ushers' pleas so Mat could experience the UD and the next day we went down and sat with good friends in the boxes. but then... I can go down with my tickets - I guess they assume UD season ticket holders won't run on the field. If people feel very strongly on it (and it seems they do) then the Sox will have to find a way for next season that is agreeable security wise to MLB. YASNY
It seems to me that as a paying fan, you should be able to actually get on the fan deck ... or see the statue of the Old Roman ... or .. well, you get my drift.
