May 2, 200421 yr When ever people defend Danny the pro most often sited is "He won 14 games two years ago" Well guess what? He also lost 12. Yes he was something like 7-1 down the stretch in '02 to win those 14 games but that Danny Wright is long gone. I'm am sick of this and I really don't know why Ozzie is sticking with him. That is the one thing I have disliked about Ozzie as a manager so far. Danny is so herky jerky and the ball is darting whenever he misses, whether it's down away high or inside. I think the only reason he gets a strike is that the batter is so shocked he actually threw a ball in the strike zone that they couldn't get the bat off the shoulder or the same reason but they got the bat off of the shoulder too slow. The weird thing is that he actually looked good in ST. His motion was smooth, he was throwing strikes, and I was okay with him being the 5th starter. He certainly earned it. But once the season started the "broken robot, don't know what I'm throwing but here it comes" Danny Wrong showed up. And I'm f***ing sick of this. It's already 3-0 Jays as I write this. I hope the O has some more heroics in them to save Danny's ass. I hope he proves me wrong. I want him to prove me wrong, but for the time being... :fyou Jonathan Daniel Wright

KW makes the call on if he's in the rotation. I'm sure they both will decide soon that he has to go to the pen. Whether he gets one more start or not, we'll have to see.
May 2, 200421 yr Not only did he cost us the game with 6ER in 3IP, but because of those 3IP we just beat the s*** out of the bullpen today. Even without the doubleheader/extra innings, a 3 inning outing will strain a bullpen. The guy needs to go. He looks absolutely HORRIBLE on the mound.

KW does not make the call on the rotation. Are you one of those that also believed KW was managing from the hallway during the 'Manual experience'? Ozzie needs to win, WANTS to win, and for some reason, HE feels that Danny is the choice for now. I hope he changes his mind soon. I would like to see Cotts get his chance. If we are going to have to put up with growing pains, I would at least like for there to be a potential upside. Danny can't get the ball over the damn plate! Until it is 3-0, and then grooves a fastball.
May 2, 200421 yr I think a 0-4 start to the season and not able to get out of the 5th inning as the longest outing of the year is enough. There is something wrong with Danny either physically or mentally when pitching and I don't think a bullpen demotion is going to straighten him out. I don't know if a player with his time in the big leagues can be optioned to AAA, but I think that is the best alternative if it can be done. Cotts to satrt and Dan in the pen, if the minors is not an option, but I have to agree now that enough is enough.
