LET'S GOLF RED WINGS...CLAP, CLAP....CLAP, CLAP, CLAP!!!!

The only thing better would have been a sweep by Calgary.

:fyou Detroit.

Being a hockey fan for lots and lots of years, I always admire Detroit for their "go-get em" attitude when it comes to assembling a team to win.  They truely are the "Yankees" of hockey, and that's why they are hated so.

Stevie Y.  He's the TRUE definition of determination.  I admire him more then 95% of the players out there today and I agree, hopefully we see him play on the ice again.

But let's face it.  Calgary played their ass off, and are to be commended.  I actually am pulling for them over any team that's left simply because if they win, THEY prove the small market can still work in the NHL.

To expand a little, Detroit whines like there is no tomorrow when things don't go their way, because they DO pay out the money to get the best. Paying to get the best is ok, but whining about it when things don't go right isn't. I like Brett Hull, I think he's one of the best pure shooters to ever play the game (beauuutiful one-timer extraordinaire) but he sure does piss and whine and moan when things aren't quite up to his standards. Waaaah, he hooked me ref! Waaaaah, why did you call me for that?! That's the part of Red Wing allure that gives them a reputation of not being liked.

The first problem with the Wings is that they are from Detroit. As a Chicago sports fan, there is no city lower than Detroit.

DE-TROIT SUCKS!!!

Let me echo your seniments.

DETROIT SUCKS! DE-TROIT SUCKS!

I can't wait for a Blackhawk owner have some f***ing pride in being an Original Six team in a huge market, and actually take this team somewhere. That said, I hope Tuomo Ruutu is a lifetime Hawk and dominates the Wings for years! :headbang

I hate to say it but Ruutu is as good as gone if you don't take care of that ownership problem first.

yo

Steve

got any pictures of the 2003 scoreboard? :bringit

Maybe I can find some of the 2002 scoreboard. What about the Detroit-Calgary game-six scoreboard. :bringit

Yeah, I totally agree there. These guys aren't giving anybody any money, and without winning or money, why would you want to stay here?
