May 6, 200421 yr this team seems as lively as the 2000 team - and without a Detroit brawl to stir them up. I love it that they are believing in themselves. Also reminds me of 93 whenever we were two runs behind, Pacoriek would crack that we got them right where we want them and we did!

May 6, 200421 yr Whatever happened between Hawk and Wimpy? Or did Wimpy just leave on his own... I forget. I know he was talking about he was sexually abused way back when by a priest or something.

I heard that Hawk got him booted. I heard it once, and never heard anything more about it. Shame, as I liked the two of them together. DJ is getting better each year and I think he will be great one day, but I also miss Wimpy. I agree that this team reminds me of the fun that was around in 2000, but I feel better about this team. 2000 seemed to be a lucky team only, this team seems to be doing things like they should, and making adjustments where and when they need to. If the long ball isn't working, then they switch to small ball, and vice versa, but always keeping the running game in play. Also they seem to step up the hitting when the pitching isn't where it should be. Just seems like a smart team, aside form some of those crazy base running ideas.
