May 12, 200421 yr I'm no doctor but I'd say his streak is in serious jeopardy. How sweet it woulda been to see the streak broken by another O's shortstop.

May 12, 200421 yr If he doesn't play tomorrow, I can say I saw the longest current streak broken in person.
May 12, 200421 yr To keep that streak intact, I don't mind if Tejada pinch-hits.........in the late innings..........with a big lead for the White Sox..........with nobody on base.

Technically, I don't believe that would keep his streak alive. The "iron-man" streak is consecutive games started IIRC.

May 12, 200421 yr Miggy says he's playin tonite, But Tejada later said the pain had mostly subsided in the trainer's room. "I'm going to play [tonight]," Tejada said. "I can walk good. I don't feel any pain." Tejada had a similar injury in spring training and returned to the lineup two days later. He will undergo a magnetic resonance imaging exam today, just to be sure there's no structural damage.
May 12, 200421 yr yeah i say start him and take him out after like a couple innings... or pinch hit him... but i dun want him to end his streak
May 12, 200421 yr Shoot, Tejada was my first pick in a lot of my leagues (I picked #11 3 times this year)
