bbtn once more pissing me off

Featured Replies

well they were more or less saying that it is stupid that the sox were blowing off fireworks after every homerun that was hit for the sox because the fans could not see it.

and that is was more or less a waste off time and money. it is a minor thing but it just annoys the hell out of me that they have something negative to say about the sox each and every day or do not even display there highlights on some occasions. something that i thought funny is that they said they are playing good baseball right now even though i would say there overall play in the last week has been poor imo

f*** them, move on and just enjoy the highlights.

Why does everyone get so mad at BBTN anyway? Look at the idiots they have doing that show. The best they can do is John Kruk who's most important claim to fame was having Randy Johnson throw one behind his head at the '93 all star game. Everybody else there needs to go to the store an buy themselves a clue.

Usually I don't care when BBTN just shows ignorance about players or the performance of our team. But ripping on our fireworks?? Is nothing sacred in baseball anymore like a little tradition called the exploding scoreboard and fireworks???!?

Not to mention the fact that most of our home games are night games anyways. Give me a break BBTN.

that was my damn point exactly i mean how low can they possibly get to talk about fireworks but anyway i wonder what they will talk about next of ours

I was at the game yesterday and you could easily see the fireworks.

They're right! Fireworks during the daylight are stupid. Yes you can see them, but they certainly don't have the desired effect. You don't see 4th of July firworks shot off at noon, do you?

You guys are way too damned sensitive about shows like that. Those shows are designed to give everybody a broad picture of what is going on in baseball. There is no way they can cover every team every day, nor are they going to cover teams like local media does (or should). If you actually sit back, watch Baseball Tonight and take it for what it is, it is a great show. They give you highlights, decent information and a little humor thrown in. What else do you expect them to do in 30 minutes?

So who would you rather listen to each night? Those guys are far from idiots and they do a great job for what that show is supposed to do. Kruk's claim to fame may be as you mentioned, but at least he was IN the All-Star game. They get guys who have played the game and know it on a level that regular fans do not.

I say if you don't like who they have on there, head on up to Bristol and tell them you want to audition. See how tough the job is. Until you walk a mile in their shoes........

I expect them to bow down to the Sox and hate the Cubs and it would be nice if they would say Mariotti is an idiot. oh, and tell me daily what a great team the Sox is and they will win the WS.

Why didn't I think of that? lol
