It was nice to see the crowd squash that most idiotic of all "traditions".

Can people on ESPN please learn how to say people's names, especially people who are hitting over 330 right now? I've heard Err-eee-bay, Urr-Ahhh-bay, Urr-Ahh-Buh, Eee-Ree-Bee. Terrible, just terrible. I mean, I dont want to be picky but correct pronunciation of a guy's name would be nice. JUAN You-Ree-Bay. Not that friggin hard...

Actually it was better than that, not only did the guy not throw it back but he handed it to a 3 yr old boy sitting next to him. Pure class from one of the "fireworks-fueled 21,163" Sox fans at the game.

I don't know if I'm the only one, but I get a smile on my face when a Sox fan gives a ball from the opposite team to a little 2 year old.

May 29, 200421 yr One thing that really made me smile was what happened at Wednesdays game over in section 113. A foul ball came in and bounced then hit a small kid. The ball ended up with some dude that was a half a row down & the dude gave it up to the kid without hesitating. Soon after another foul ball came along a couple of rows down & that fan gave up the ball to the guy that gave one to the kid. I was impressed.
