June 4, 200421 yr I always love looking at Baseball America and their ideas for what the lineup will look like down the road. Now I am aiming this one at all of you guys who love to follow the Sox minor league system. So lets see it guys. The White Sox 2007 lineup will look like what?
June 4, 200421 yr SP - Buerhle - (don't we have an option year for '07? could be wrong) SP - Garland -- (He should get a long term deal this offseason) SP - Garcia -- (sign after the trade this year) SP - Cotts SP - Honel Pen - Baj, Wing, Munoz, Wright(hey why not) 1 - Harris (2B) 2 - Reed (LF) 3 - Ordonez (RF) 4 - Thomas (DH) - Last season. 5 - Anderson (CF) 6 - Uribe (SS) 7 - Sweeney (1B) 8 - Olivo (C.) 9 - 3B ???? -- I don't think Crede's gonig to be here. I can't see any impact players there in the minors. Upon making this. I think we should draft Field.
June 5, 200421 yr Batting1. Reed (CF) 2. Harris (2B) 3. Thomas (DH) 4. Lee (1B) 5. Anderson (LF) 6. Ordonez (RF) 7. Uribe (SS) 8. Josh Fields (3B-I think we draft him) 9. Olivo © Pitching 1. Buehrle 2. Garland 3. Munoz 4. Honel 5. Wing C-Marte RS-Baneraju LS- Cotts MR-Adkins MR-Wing LR-Wright LR-F.Castro
June 5, 200421 yr Well I think you guys are optimistic on Honel and Wing, not cause they are hurt. No way Wright still here. I like Sweeney at 1B.
June 5, 200421 yr I don't know if Sweeney will be here in 07. He should be, but we've seen AAA be a road block for a couple years for some guys (Crede, Borchard).
June 5, 200421 yr I don't know if Sweeney will be here in 07. He should be, but we've seen AAA be a road block for a couple years for some guys (Crede, Borchard). Sweeney is smoother, he will not struggle once he is ready.
June 5, 200421 yr Starters: Buehrle Garland Cotts Honel McCarthy (I'm high on him); (or Wing) Line-up: Harris-2B Reed-LF Thomas-DH Anderson-CF Lee-1B Sweeney-RF Uribe-SS Olivo-C Crede/Fields-3B Bullpen: Setup- Baj/F.Castro Specialist-Wing/Wright (I guess) Closer-Someone we draft (or Wright)
June 6, 200421 yr Olivo - C Sweeney - LF Anderson - CF Ordonez - RF Reed - 1st Harris - 2nd Valido - SS Schnur - 3rd Caballo - DH Rotation: Buehrle Garland Munoz Cotts McCarthy Bullpen: Marte Tagatsu (he can pitch till he's 50) Baj Majewski Fabio Castro Jason Stumm (sleeper pick)
June 6, 200421 yr C. Olivo 1B. Mike Morse ;-) 2B. Pedro Lopez 3B. Micah Schurnstein SS. Robert Valido RF. Ryan Sweeney CF. Willie Harris LF. Brian Anderson Pitchers, Buehrle, Garland, Munoz, McCarthy, Fabio Castro Bullpen: Baj, Marte, Ryan Rodriguez, Diaz, Ryan Wing, Honel Yeah yeah its pretty much an all prospect team, its killing me to leave off Juan Uribe because I think this start isn't a big fluke. I also hated to leave off Jeremy Reed, I just couldn't find a place for him really. As you can tell, I also don't think Morse's season is a fluke. I think even with the not so great numbers, Rodriguez's stuff will eventually turn him into a solid reliever. I think Honel's curve will atleast let him be a reliever if his fastball can just stay at 90.
June 6, 200421 yr No Chris Young in Jason's list. He's not telling us what he really thinks. , Young will take some time, but I like Sweeney, Reed, and Anderson more at this point...but we know my feelings on Young....STUD
