June 7, 200421 yr If Steff is in the other seat, you may only get 1/2 a seat to sit on Wrong... I'm bigger now. He gets the arm rest.
June 7, 200421 yr Wrong... I'm bigger now. He gets the arm rest. All that excercise and you're getting bigger!?
June 7, 200421 yr You are missing my point. It's not OUR money. Hell, i'd rather have them spend spend spend and win, go for it. Reality is they can't, and i understand that it's not reasonable for the Sox to lose money. If the Sox are losing money then I'm Bill Clinton. They whine on and on about money but conviently leave out parking, concessions and merchandise when figuring out their money intake for the year. If the Sox were hemmoraging money the way Reinsy claims he is then he'd have sold long ago.

Damn, I almost wish it was true Going into the season they must be working on projected revenues, and weather, injuries, hot rivalries, etc. will determine the gate. Still, I just can't believe the poor me act. And even if it is true, maybe different owners could increase attendance and increase payroll. Maybe we get a Cuban type who just says let's win the damn thing, who cares about profit.

They may be willing to spend the bucks, but they have to let their baseball people make the personel decisions. For example, from what I understand Art Moreno ordered the Angels' baseball people to draft jared Weaver even though they had someone else targeted. That's not a good precedent to set. They Yankees started their run of success when King George backed off and let his baseball people do their jobs. I can see Cuban being Steinbrenner of old, or a current day Moreno.
June 8, 200421 yr I'd still like to have Bartolo here for the right amount of money. He's struggling now. But he's too good not to be able to turn it around.
