White Sox Draft Fields In the 1st

Featured Replies

I just watched that and it was pure filth...

Kinda looks like Munoz out there on the mound after seeing him.

Nice move to first also, it already looks better than Schoenweis's move.... :lolhitting

But is it better than Billy Koch's?

But seriously, for a moment, I can't comment about Arnie Munoz having never seen him pitch. But if Munoz has a curve that's half as good as Gio's, my expectations just raised for him a lot. :)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the reason they probably didn't take Szymanski is purely money based, and probably because they wanted mostly pitching after taking Fields in round one.

That or they may of had both rated similarly and Szymanski is probably a little more raw. Plus Fields does also fill a need in the organizatoin. Need is something I don't like to look at typically, but if two playesr rate out similarly then you look at signability and organizational strength, imo.

No one in this draft is a sure thing... you never know whats going to happen

he could bust or he could be an all star... thats a part of the draft, until then we can only hope
