The Beast
Horacio Ramirez (shoulder tendinitis) will come off the DL and start Saturday against the White Sox in Chicago. Barring any setbacks, of course. Travis Smith could remain with the team in a relief role, with C.J. Nitkowski or Armando Almanza being let go to make room for Ramirez. BobDylan
It's a shame I don't know anything about this Ramirez guy. Should I be crapping my pants? I know CJ is nothing to fret about though.

He was a pretty decent pitcher...I wouldn't worry about him though

IlliniKrush
He might be facing adkins... ******************************************************* By Bob Foltman Tribune staff reporter June 6, 2004, 11:26 PM CDT SEATTLE—After a week in which he didn't have to think too much about it, White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen must confront the one issue he has yet to get a handle on—finding a fifth starter. "Hopefully when I get to Chicago, I'll get some ideas about what we're going to do," Guillen said. "I'm getting frustrated about bringing somebody in for a couple innings and all of a sudden they're not there anymore." Guillen's options haven't changed much since the last time the Sox needed a fifth starter: Use someone out of the bullpen, like Jon Adkins, bring up someone from the minors or bring in someone from outside. "With so many pitchers in baseball, I never thought it was going to be that tough to find one," Guillen said. "[General manager Ken Williams] is still working real hard and a lot of names have come up." Although his experience with bringing Neal Cotts out of the bullpen for a start didn't work out as he had hoped, Guillen said using Adkins on Saturday against the Atlanta Braves is a possibility. Guillen also said Jon Rauch is a possibility, although a remote one. Rauch got the start May 29, lasting just 32/3 innings and infuriating Williams by leaving U.S. Cellular Field before the end of the game. "That kid made a mistake and he knows it," Guillen said. "Is there an option to bring him back here? Yeah. But I don't think he left a good flavor to come back."

Yoda
I hope Freddy Garcia pitches for us Saturday, but I won't hold my breath... Wow... you think the Sox can get Garcia that quick? BTW, are you going to Saturday night’s game?
Gene Honda Civic
im going tommorrow, no frat boys better mess with me! Tomorrow shouldn't be too bad. There is a Cubs game at Wrigley at the same time, so that should detract a lot of the Cubs Ruffians. Also, I think it will be Munoz on Saturday. Rex Hudler
Diaz is scheduled to pitch tonight which would be right on rotation for a Saturday start. Let's see if the Sox are smart enough to call him up, rather than Munoz, who they will have to pitch out of the bullpen again to get him in line, like they did (and failed) with all the others.
