Hopefully they will be filtered before being asked (to weed out inane questions).

The jury will be allowed to submit questions to witnesses?

Guaranteed, their questions will be the dumbest ones asked ever.

Other jurors asked about prior offenses, which are often not allowed as evidence, and one wanted to ask a witness if he thought the defendant was guilty.

This really is ground-breaking because it's ultimately going to challenge what is & is not admissable as evidence. What the judge allows in this case may establish precedents that greatly reduce lawyers ability to declare evidence inadmissable. :o

You know nthe prosecution is in trouble when juror #3 ask for a Kobe autograph . . .

I hope that for once, if a famous person is guilty, that a jury will find him so and will sentence him as they should. I'm sick of fame and fortune getting away with everything. But then again, I think the rest of the world is also getting to that point, so I think Kobe has one heck of an uphill battle ahead of him. He'd better pray he defense is half as good as what he just saw with the Pistons*.

*I haven't seen one second of Basketball in about 10 years, so I am only going by what I have heard about those Finals. :P
