June 17, 200421 yr are not serving s*** lately. They slump we are in trouble. No production at the top of the order, means no production, period.
June 17, 200421 yr Yeah, I also noticed that Uribe's average has been taking a dip as of late. I'm sure the slides won't last too long. Both Uribe and Harris have been a huge part of why our season has been a success thus far. They'll be back around. Keep in mind - this is not really a good series to use as a barometer. I don't care what anyone says - until they are dethroned, the Marlins are the best team in all of baseball, and nobody really even notices, even though they're the defending champs. They have awesome, consistent pitching and always seem to play smart, mistake-free baseball for the most part. Jack McKeon is a genius. But, we want the series tonight! Go South Side Sox!

I totally agree with you about the, Marlins. If Burnett gets back to his sick 2002 form "and he looked damn good against us" you might have the best starting 5 in the league. I'm not worried about Harris and Uribe. They've gotten the job done all year long. A little mini-slump here and there is nothing to get excited about.

I dont think Harris and Uribe's recent hiccup is anything to worry about. Hell, we're still cranking out bucketfuls of runs.
June 18, 200421 yr Dont forget that Fla has a damn good rotation. I'd rather be facing the Cubs right now. Atleast we have a history of roughin their guys up.
June 18, 200421 yr I think that Harris will be fine. Uribe i'm not quite as sure on but hopefully he will be ok...
June 18, 200421 yr I noticed that 3-4-5 guys in the lineup took the collar tonight. Harris and Uribe have hit a bump in the road. Timo produced tonight in the leadoff spot, yet we couldn't push him around.

Good to see Timo producing now though, obviously his past experience for the Mets in the NL is only helping him in these interleague games. You can tell Harris and Uribe aren't comfortable hitting in places they haven't played much before in Florida etc. They weren't always goin to hit above .300 every week, but I think once we start playin AL teams again, they'll start hitting better, when we can put Paul and Frank in the lineup together for some protection.
