He made two fine defensive plays to help out the pitchers and extended his hitting streak to 8 games. Now I don’t want to sound like a Harris basher, but we all know little Willie would have never caught that soon to be a homerun ball. With his speed (why has he stopped running again?), 380 OBP would be absolutely huge, it would make Uribe better by having Willie on base even if he doesn't plan to run. So Aaron should continue to spray line-drives all over the field - he'll see more playing time against RHP, but I still consider Willie our starting CF when a righty is on the mound. It does amze me though how many folks still call for those two to be a part of trades that KW might make. Jose espcially is right up there defensivelky and offensively has more homers than any AL shortstop. I don't know about the NL SS's though I imagine he is right up there. There's no doubt that his name is on the list of players that Seattle is considering for garcia. Rowand has hit .330+ with an OPS just under 1.000 since coming off the DL last June. Since I made this, he's 3-for-10? w/ a HR. Granted most of his number have been vs. LHP. That's why I said with 450 AB's. I figure he plays every game vs. lefties. and maybe 1/2 to 2/3's of games vs. Righties. That would put him at about 450 AB's on the season. His numbers would be comparable to, if not better than Carlos Lee's. I'm not the only one with this opinion, I can guarentee there is some other GM out there who would love to take A-Row off of KW's hands. The whole not good aginst righties thing is a little overblown... Granted there's been small sample sizes, but he has not been terrible vs. RHP. 2002 - .255AVG/.637OPS - (204AB's) 2003 - .250AVG/.746OPS - (92AB's) 2004 - .258AVG/.727OPS - (97AB's) Aggregate that's .254Avg...
