June 25, 200421 yr Call up Borchard and get rid of Gload, he's proven his true worth in a clutch game today.
June 25, 200421 yr Call up Borchard and get rid of Gload, he's proven his true worth in a clutch game today. Has he cut down on the Ks? What the hell difference will it make considering the lack of pitching on this team?
June 25, 200421 yr Call up Borchard and get rid of Gload, he's proven his true worth in a clutch game today. might as well get rid of Rowand and Uribe for playing like s*** too today then Gload is a bench player getting time b/c Maggs is out. The whole team has been pathetic so far today for the most part, not just Gload
June 25, 200421 yr Has he cut down on the Ks? What the hell difference will it make considering the lack of pitching on this team? Planning for the future, we are going nowhere this year if we continue to play like this.
June 25, 200421 yr Planning for the future, we are going nowhere this year if we continue to play like this. I am so f***ing sick of hearing 'about the future.' When the hell is the future gonna get here?!
June 25, 200421 yr I Dont get why Timo hasnt been playing more. He was one of our best offensive players the last few weeks. Instead, we play Gload against Prior, which is just asking for strikeouts.
June 25, 200421 yr Call up Borchard and get rid of Gload, he's proven his true worth in a clutch game today. I agree on calling up Borchard. Get rid of Jackson though.
June 25, 200421 yr Gload is alright to pinch hit and play one day a week. As a right fielder, he's a good pinch hitter. this ain't good
June 25, 200421 yr I agree on calling up Borchard. Get rid of Jackson though. is Dransfeldt back down yet? If not he needs to be for Borchard and Baj for Jackson
June 25, 200421 yr is Dransfeldt back down yet? If not he needs to be for Borchard and Baj for Jackson Didn't he go down to bring Darensburg (sp?) up...
June 25, 200421 yr has darensburg pitched yet? he figures to get some innings today and tomorrow A few times and he's done decent. Nothing more than a last man out of the pen though.
June 26, 200421 yr Gload is not an outfielder, he's gotta be used exclusively off the bench as a pinch hitter. That was enough today. We won't have this problem soon though when Maggs comes back. But for now i'd rather see Timo out there in the outfield. Or Harris in Center, Rowand in right.
June 26, 200421 yr Gload probably will be playing tomorrow since he hit Zambrano hard in Spring Training. If he does, fine, if not, Timo would be suitable. I miss Maggs. I am reminded of the early 90s when we had no RF.
June 26, 200421 yr being at the game, I was not happy with Gload's error but that was not the world's most egregious error - it took a total team effort to get six walks and lose - for Garland to give up only give up 6 hits and lose - it took a team effort to make 3 errors - the only player who really got to me today was Jackson - what is he still doing doing in the majors
June 26, 200421 yr Besides Gload's 2-base error he also should at least share the honors with Uribe's error - it was Gload's ball all that way. His 3rd f***-up is overlooked - he got such a poor read on and took a pathetic route to Hollansworth's "triple". Rowand and even Ordonez catch that ball without much fanfare. Gload has come through with a couple of big singles up the middle in pinch-hitting duty this season, but there is just no f***ing excuse for this s***. If we're crediting Rowand with saving the game last night, then Gload definately "cost" this game. It's gotta work both ways.
June 26, 200421 yr gload did not cost us this game, not at all it was a pure team loss Perhaps you didn't read my post carefully then. There were a couple of clowns who lost the game; Gload was just the biggest one but by no means was he alone in his putrid effort. I deal with facts and not sports cliches in the "it's a team game" mold. Sorry.

Exactly! I was thinking that as well, while I saw Sammy "chugging" all the way to home plate. I miss Magglio.
June 26, 200421 yr that is what I was responding to so your last post loses me totally fact, which is what I deal in! Sorry yeah....DEFENSIVELY - as in Rowand's DEFENSE vs. Gload's DEFENSE. Read all posts in all threads first or don't reply at all.
