He may be the exatc kind of pitcher that JR feels comfortable making a long term financial investment in. I just hope it has the opposite result as the Jamie Navarro fiasco. The only good thing about that was when the Sox finally shipped his ass out and us fans were all able to enjoy the benefits in the 2000 season. He shut out the formidable Ranger offense for 7 innings before tiring in the 8th and they got to him and the bullpen for a 3 spot.
