Isn't it odd that we have the 9th most hits and 7th most walks, but the highest batting average?

I was just gonna say that.

Lot of sac flies and such, maybe? :huh

Thats nice, but look at our pitching stats :huh

Frank leads the Al with walks I believe with 62 but the whole team is 7th??????? The next highest on the team in walks.....PK with 33.

Great to see! :headbang

Ond bad thing is the pitching has given up the most home runs.

There's a reason why we're called the best offense in the American League.

I think those are our MLB rankings.

I think those are our MLB rankings.

So we're the best offense in the majors.

And to think, this offense is not yet ready for the playoffs yet. Not quite anyways. we still need a contact hitter who will feast on playoff pitching.

There are $34 million reasons why that will not work.

There are also chances that Pitt pays some of it.

There are also chances that Pitt pays some of it.

That locks us up so bad though; Pitt's not going to pay enough of it. I like our chances of signing Freddy now, but what about Maggs, E-Lo, Jose, etc. this offseason? We wouldn't be able to do much to sign guys.

Huge no to Kendell. He is going to put whatever team he plays for in a b**** of a situation(except the BoSox and NY) becasue of the HUGE $$ he is making. Are catching situation isnt great, but its far for bad, and im pretty happy with the way it is right now.

If they pay enough of his contract, say average about $6 million a year we owe him for the duration, that would be worth it. Depending on who we give up to make that happen, it would potentially be a very good move. And it's possible Jose Mesa could be part of a deal as well.

Mesa has very little control in the clutch and in pressure situatuions. (See Larry Bowa)

There are also chances that Pitt pays some of it.

They pretty much need to take on 50% of it for us to even CONSIDER a deal. $34 mill over the next 3 years is a s***load of money.

I highly doubt it happens, personally.
