He's facing the Flubbs again in the middle game. Now we're gonna see what he's made of. Does he have the balls to hold down the Flubbs hitters a second time in a row or is he gonna fall on his ass and revert to his usual T-Ball stand form from his 1st 2 starts.

We'll soon find out.

I think the true test will be when he faces major league talent

After this weekend, Yankee Stadium will seem like a quaint homey field.

Ill be happy with five or six innings of four runs or less. Well - I won't be happy with four runs, but if he can keep us in the game, I'll be a happy man. :)

He should be fine. Show said it best, his first start was his Major League debut so you can throw that out, his 2nd start was on 3 days rest. The Cubs start was his first start under normal circumstances.

Even then, didn't he have an emergency call up?

His last start in AAA was the 18th. He pitched against the Cubs on the 26th. The Knights had a couple days off because of rainout or 2 and maybe a day off, but they had 2 days off. He would have pitched the day before for Charlotte on their rotation. It was a long time off, but at least it wasn't under short rest.

We can have Rauch ready to take over if he does not do well

I like the idea of him going 4 to 5 innings, followed by 2 by Rauch and then our studs take over

I'm kinda questioning this decision by Ozzie. The Cubs have seen Diaz just last weekend. I think it may be beneficial to have Rauch get his shot at them. Rauch was the more effective of the two at AAA.

Either way, it's a toss up.

I'm all for throwin Diaz out there. I wanna see if last start was a fluke, or do we really have something with this guy.

I heard this on the Score. Diaz was 8-2 in minor league games, beat the Cubs, and now is 9-2 in minor league games.

This is how I want to see it:

SP: Diaz (pitches 6+ innings, if 3 runs or less)

BP: Rauch (Pitches 2 innings)

CP: Shingo (If a close game, get Mr. Zero out there)
