July 8, 200421 yr Hey, your countryman Leyton could return, too.... Nothing beats the genius of Federer, though. If this gets lucky and avoids chronic back/knee/ankle/hip/elbow/neck/shoulder injuries and doesn't lose interest in the game like Venus and Agassi did in their prime, he has SPECTACULAR 7-10 years ahead of him. Do you remember him destroying Sampras in the 2001 Wimbly? The last time Pete received such a beating on grass was in 1996 at the hands of the flukey Krajchek. Federer always had amazing talent, it was always going to be the mental side of his game to determine whether or not he was going to be a GOOD player or a GREAT player.
July 9, 200421 yr I'm just making sure this thread doesn't get too far off track. Shhhh... Quiet.. or your gonna make Sharapova as overrated as Kornikova.
July 9, 200421 yr Hey DBAH0, is tennis a pretty big sport in Australia? Yeah it is pretty big, especially when our players are doing well. In the late 90's Pat Rafter won a few U.S Open's and that got things going, now with Hewitt and Phillipousis it's getting bigger and bigger.
