D-Backs Fire Brenly

Featured Replies

670 The Score just reported that Bob Brenly was fired as Diamondbacks manager.

Well whoever manages them this weekend could really help us if he could at least take 2 of 3 against the Twins.

Sources are saying the bench coach will take over for Brenly.

I think this could be the start of a mass exodus of players via trades now.

Finley

maybe Gonzo?

Randy...? :)

Brenly

Among possible replacements mentioned...the Wally Backman.

ESPNews mentioned Backman, D-Backs bench coach Robin Yount, and whoever their current 3rd base coach is as possible succesors to Brenly.

Yeah I didn't see that...and somehow my post got there twice...mods can just delete both of them if they so wish.

Here's hoping that will put a little extra life into them when they play...who was that again?... Oh yeah, the Twinkies. Plus Randy Johnson tomorrow.

I was sad to hear that because Brenly was such a knowledgeable guy, therefore he should not be canned, his salary isn't bad, its the players.

Johnson to the Yankees? Red Sox? :bringit

This is in Sports Bar

It won't be the bench coach. Bench coach was Robin Yount. He resigned his position.
