Queen Prawn
Brian was pleasantly surprised. He said he's happy with it as long as Hasek can stay healthy.
IlliniKrush
Last year the problem was that he came in completely out of shape and hadn't been playing hockey regularly. From what i understand, he's dedicated to come into camp this year in shape and healthy. But you are right, who knows when they will start playing again And as far as screwing over Detroit goes, i loved every minute of it. southsider2k5
Interesting signing. That explains Bonk and Lalime hitting the road. I wonder if it will be enough to get them over the top in the East.
IlliniKrush
Ditto, i hate Detroit, but Toronto is #2 on the list, tied with the Rangers.

As much as I like those two (who doesn't like a hockey player named Bonk?!), they weren't cutting it in Ottawa. With all the changes happening there (coaching staff, goalie, etc) I hope it isn't too many changes.
IlliniKrush
Sens definitely needed some roster turnover. Their roster in the playoffs has just gotten beaten up the last few years, with tons of talent.
ChiSox_Sonix
That's awesome. It means we'll get to see Emery down here for another year

Wasn't he supposed to call it quits a couple of seasons ago?
The Critic
This move has BACKFIRE written all over it. Hasek looked sick last year, and he's kinda long in the tooth. I like the Senators, so I hope this move works out, but I got a baaaaaaad feelin' about this....
Obstacle 1
hasek = soft sens = soft recipe for disaster. i hate the wings as well, but if one of the classiest teams in the league tells a piece of s*** like hasek not to let the door hit him in the ass on the way out, that says a lot. I didn't realize how CHEAP they got Hasek for $2mil for next year with an option at $3 mil for the year after. Plus he would get $4 mil in bonuses if they win the cup. It is a gamble worth taking.
