FutureSox.com has learned that Charlotte Knights reliever Kelly Wunsch is scheduled to toss a bullpen session sometime this week. Wunsch, who pitched in three games for the White Sox this season, has been on the disabled list since June 15th with a sore shoulder.

He was 0-0 with a 0.00 ERA in the three games with the Sox this season. He has pitched in parts of 5 seasons with the White Sox. His best season came last year where he was 0-0 with a 2.75 ERA in 36.0 innings of work. In his career with the White Sox he his 10-5 with 1 SV and a 3.64 ERA. He has pitched a total of 153.1 innings in 212 games.

Wunsch was originally drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 1st round of the 1993 amateur draft and played his college ball with Texas A&M.

Wunsch went 1-0 with a 3.38 ERA in 12 games for the Knights this year. Wunsch has not pitched since May 29th.

No timetable has been set for Wusnch's return, but expect to see him pitch again this summer.

Good news, IMO.

Also.. Jason.. nice of you to get back to me this morning.. :dips*** . No worries though.. I took care of you.

Jason...you had this under News and Notes, but I moved it to Charlotte news.
