March 11, 200323 yr Here's another guy who had great potential but lost his chance for fame due to a torn rotator cuff. Read about him here. He probably was already injured when the Pirates called him up in 1952. He occasionally appears at autograph shows in this area.

Of course DJ dismissed it as another old Hawks tale...and here 6'11 Rauch can only go as high as 94mph/100 pitches a game. Howe come pitchers from 40 years ago were healthier and threw harder and more often? 283 pitches? Are we sure it's not a typo and he really threw only 28.3?

Wow, I think Hawk was smoking a bit two much from his exaggeration pipe....I mean, Nolan threw early in his career around 101, I think, and Bob Feller might have been there as well, but 110??? No f***ing way.
March 12, 200323 yr J R Richards could throw over 100 MPH till he had a stroke. I had forgotten about that guy. He was awesome before he had that stroke. That was such a shame.
