July 23, 200421 yr I'd say the Indians are out of the race now, don't think Mark Shapiro is going to mortgage the future to make a run at the Wild Card, next year they will be contenders no doubt, becoming our most hated enemy besides the Cubs, in place of the Twinkies. But we got a nice little battle for the Wild Card in the AL, nothing like the NL though.

I think most people would expect the other 3 teams to pull away from us, and Texas will probably fall back to the pack as well.
July 23, 200421 yr Wouldn't that be something if the AL Central of all divisions got 2 teams in the playoffs? That being said, it's not gonna happen.
July 23, 200421 yr That is pretty damn cool. I don't even remember the last time we were ever actually in a Wild Card race. I don't think it matters, because I think Anaheim or Oakland will get it, but it is definately cool nonetheless.
