Mags

I was out of town this weekend and haven't heard much about Ordonez's condition. Can anyone update me on his status? Is his injury all that serious?

4-8 weeks best case scenario, no surgery.

So most likely he is done for the season or he'll come back early or late September.

From some of the things I've read about his condition, I think their is probably a less than 50% chance that he comes back at all this year. It also sounds like this condition could have a long term effect on his career.

It supposedly leads to arthiritis and other things that can limit mobility. I guess it all stems from his collission with Willie Harris. I know Harris has also been complaining about his leg hurting, although Ithink with him its an ankle. That injury also stems from that collission.

Wow, this is unbelievable. I'm not too optimistic on our chance to make the playoffs now, but to hear this could be determential to the rest of Mags' career is sad. You hate to see great players like him fall to serious injuries, and we have had our share this year with Giambi's unknown disease and Griffey getting hurt yet again.

Hopefully Frank can make it back for us.

Hopefully Frank can make it back for us.

Yeah, really... We need at least one of them back if we make the playoffs, especially if we don't get another bat.

I wonder what the market is going to be for a now injury proned RF who didnt play most of this season????

yeah, definitely.

This hurt mags big time....he's not going to get anywhere near the money he wants.

Nope. I think he will be lucky if he can find the same offer that we put out there. Mabye I will be wrong and the Mets will just dish out a s***load of money to him, who knows.

he'd be lucky to even match what we offered. The sox offered him a VERY fair deal, maybe even overpaying.
