Barons Also Agree to a 2 Yr Extension

Featured Replies

The Barons and White Sox agreed on a two year player development extension that will go through the 2006 season. Expect more on this as well on FS after my class tonight :)

Sweet. I hope we never leave Bham. It seems like the teams are just such a good fit.

I honestly can't fathom the Sox without the Barons. When I think of minor league baseball for us I see the Barons. No matter what happens with the other teams in our organization, I can't imagine ever splitting from the Barons. But thats just me.

The Barons owe the Sox since they got MJ, aka the biggest draw ever in Minor League Baseball. They aren't leaving the Sox for a while.

How does that work when a team leaves an organization. The MLB team keeps the players, don't they?

Yeah. The affiliate is just a place for the players to play. They don't own the rights to the players.

Yeah I didn't think so, thanks though.
