More than 200 female volunteers had registered by the end of August to act as guinea pigs for clinical testing of the "female viagra" drug by the Beijing University No 1 Hospital, the Beijing Morning Post said. Organisers and doctors said they were surprised by the number. "More independent and outspoken Chinese women are paying attention to the quality of their sexual life, a long-time taboo in Chinese society," said Zhang Miao, the doctor in charge of the tests. "There should be no problem to recruit 400 volunteers considering the increasing popularity of our test," said Zhang.
