Because they just have so much f***ing talent in the minors and they have already brought up alot of players that are producing at the big league level.

October 5, 200421 yr Small payrolls can work for a year (except if you're the Twins) but then the next year it seems that you're not in the playoffs. Higher payrolls always have a shot at being in the playoffs.
