Letourneau Wants to Marry Former Student

By Associated Press

SEATTLE -- Mary Kay Letourneau, who spent 7 1/2 years in federal prison for child rape, told CNN's Larry King she is planning to marry the former elementary school student she had sex with.

Letourneau, 42, said no date had been set for the wedding to Vili Fualaau, who was 12 when their relationship began. She told CNN she and Fualaau, now 21, share "a deep spiritual oneness," "a compatible sense of humor" and a "perspective on life."

Letourneau was a 34-year-old elementary school teacher in suburban Des Moines, Wash., and an unhappily married mother of four in 1996, when she began having sex with Fualaau.

When Letourneau was arrested in 1997, she was already pregnant with Fualaau's daughter. Though Letourneau professed her love for the boy, a judge sentenced her to six months in jail for second-degree child rape, and ordered her to stay away from him.

A month after Letourneau was released, she was caught having sex with Fualaau in her car. She gave birth to Fualaau's second daughter behind bars.

She was released Aug. 5. A judge last month granted Fualaau's request to lift an order barring Letourneau from contacting him.

He has also said they were planning to marry.

Original story

I've become accostomed to some extremely vile stories posted here in Soxtalk, and was honestly expecting much worse.

If no one is being eaten, freakishly injured, or sneaking "tubgirl" into their links a thread is not worthy of "gross story of the day" distinctions. ;) :D

Far as Ms. Letourneau, I wonder if she'll be tuning into Desperate Housewives this fall on ABC...

That is disgusting.

I predict the marriage doesn't last.

And how does the ex-husband feel about himself?

"Sorry dear, I met this 12 year old guy...and well I am leaving you with the four kids. Good Luck!"

While I think the woman is sick if the dude is dumb enough to go along with it ohh well.

God that is going to be one messed up marriage

So if they divorce, does she pay child support or alimony?
