October 21, 200421 yr I just did a search on eBay for "Red Sox World Series tickets" and got 319 matching items. I haven't seen any pair of tickets that has a bid for less than $2,000. Red Sox fans could probably fly to St. Louis or Houston, get tickets there and pay for a hotel room cheaper than just buying tickets in Boston.
October 21, 200421 yr This shows how the older I am the more and more I hate crowds! I would hesitate to pay face value for tickets for big sporting events (Turned down good all-star game tickets 3 different times last year at The Cell). I prefer to head out to a local bar. Great atmosphere, cheaper and easier to get home. Also, just like the creature comforts (multiple TV's etc...). Just underwhelmed by most live sporting events. I know most people love people like me because it's one less competition for tickets, and usually give away tickets when I get comps. (However I LOVE live concerts!!! go figure!!!)
October 21, 200421 yr Jim got offered tickets to St Louis WS games for $200 each.. of course.. they prefer we buy them ASAP.. as in BEFORE the game is played tonight. :rolly

I was lucky enough to go to the Padres-Yanks game down in San Diego a few years back and wow its the most fun I've ever had at a baseball game.
