October 21, 200421 yr I couldn't get the link to work, it kept timing out, but based on the thread title . . . Politically it would never happen. Bush would never allow it, and Kerry would be equally against it. Bush wouldn't allow a Dem and Kerry wouldn't want to play second fiddle with Clinton in a high profile position. However, I think Clinton would have done an exceptional job. I would like to see an American heading up the UN, but I do not see our ass clowns in Washington allowing the "other" party to have the spot. So no to Clinton, no to Carter, no to Elizabeth Dole, and no to Bush the elder. Who would be a good compromise candidate? Someone who is not too identified with either political party. Colin Powell pre-cabinet spot when no one really knew where he stood politically.
October 21, 200421 yr My Aunt in Ireland would love this. She couldn't talk enough about him when she visited about 6 months ago.
October 22, 200421 yr I think Clinton would be good for the U.N. It would go miles in helping the U.S. bridge the gap and help make the U.N. work better politically. An American who believes in the goal of the United Nations is the kind of Secretary General that the world needs right now.
October 22, 200421 yr As much as I disliked Clinton as President, I do think he'd be a good Sect'y Gen of the UN.
October 22, 200421 yr Author As much as I disliked Clinton as President, I do think he'd be a good Sect'y Gen of the UN. No doubt he would fit right in there...
October 22, 200421 yr Clinton for Sec. General of the UN, where it's ok to lie. But apparantly, it's ok for the White House to be the house of liars, too. Look at the two screwoffs we have running for the White House now.
October 22, 200421 yr "Well that's what those guys in the funny suits and all the bling said. . . Y'all know the first time I was in the briefijg room and they walked in, I thought it was the Beatles doing Sgt. Peppers! Man I remember being drunk off my ass listening that that record. That was before the internets ruined music." George Dubya 2004 Edited October 22, 200421 yr by Texsox

At least this way we wont have to worry about him taking oil bribes from despot middle eastern dictators. And just think. He'll have a whole shmorgasboard (sp) of young secretaries from dozens of different countries to give him head when he wants it.

October 23, 200421 yr My question is will he have a secret porno stash at UN headquarters like he did at Camp David if he gets the gig?
October 23, 200421 yr Did you have the same respect when he was your commander in chief? Actually less.
October 23, 200421 yr Did you have the same respect when he was your commander in chief? I know/work with many military people..... including NUKE..... and the overwhelming majority of them wouldn't piss on Clinton if he was on fire. The other's were indifferent that led towards dislike near the end of Clinton's tenure. That had to do with the whole BJ-thing while fellow military people were being killed without any retribution on the USS Cole and such.
