October 28, 200421 yr The Red Sox became just the 4th different team to represent the AL in the World Series in the past 10 years(Indians twice, Yankees 6 times, Angels once, and the Sawks once). The NL has had 7 different teams represent them in each of the last 7 years(Cards, Marlins, Giants, DBacks, Mets, Braves, Padres in that order from 04-98). Just thought I'd throw that out there.

In it's existance...the same 10 year span...there has not been a team from either the NL Central or the AL Central to win the World Series.
