November 2, 200421 yr Taking shot at critics On Fox Sports' nightly talk show on Friday, Kevin Millar said that Red Sox players did shots of Jack Daniel's before Game 6 of the ALCS. And because it worked, Millar said, they did it before every game through the World Series. "It was one of those group team things, like shaving our heads last year," Millar said. "What we had was one small Gatorade cup. We passed it around and everyone symbolically drank out of the same cup, because we are a team. It wasn't as if guys were drunk." Millar made it very clear that manager Terry Francona was not part of the ritual.
