November 4, 200421 yr Attorney General John Ashcroft 'plans to submit his resignation to Bush in the next several days'... From the Drudge Report so take it with a grain of salt but it is very interesting if true.
November 4, 200421 yr Their is at least some rumor that this position will be offered to Giuliani. Considering Drudge is reporting a conservative piece of news I'd assume its probably pretty accurate. If he was talking about the democratic side then I'd be skeptical since he is a conservative. Thanks for the info Apu That'd be one hell of a first step in trying to draw this divided country back together. Ashcroft seems to be a hated man on the left...hell, I'm on the right and I really don't trust the guy. And even better yet, I dont' think Guiliani will be bursting out in song at any press events like ole Ashcroft.
November 4, 200421 yr Maybe their is hope for this country yet. I'm not suprised he's being forced out though. Everyone hates him on both sides. Hell he lost to a dead guy.
