November 18, 200421 yr How many games -- this season, for the Sox -- or for the Expos, for that matter, did Everett play CF? Not many...
November 18, 200421 yr Up until this year Carla has always played CF.. maybe someone realized the same thing I did.. oo about game 2 of him in a Sox Uni.. You didn't answer the question. How many games this year did Everett play in CF?

November 18, 200421 yr Thank you Jim.. for proving my point. so because Harris struggled in limited playing time last season, causing the Sox to acquire Alomar for the stretch run, he's automatically a terrible player? that is basically what you are saying. If a guy is replaced one time in his career, he obviously can't be a good player. that doesn't make any sense. Can Harris be a solid enough player for a contending team like the Sox? Yes. Are there better players than Harris out there? Yes. Do the Sox NEED a better player at second in 2005 for them to compete? No. I'm starting to believe both of us are arguing different points.

THis is not the first time Harris has been replaced on the SOx 2. If you belive that the Sox can contend in 05 with Harris.. I have a bridge in SF i want to sell you 3. The question should be are the players worse than harris..If so I like to know about them 4. See anwser to 2

If so give me and hour to compose it. Probally two.
November 18, 200421 yr Do you really want me to give you a list of players worse than him? IF so give me and hour to compose it. Probally two. No I want starting 2b in the MLB last year that were worse than he was..and made it to the postseason.
November 18, 200421 yr No I want starting 2b in the MLB last year that were worse than he was..and made it to the postseason. Rivas/ cuddyer combo.
November 18, 200421 yr 2. If you belive that the Sox can contend in 05 with Harris.. I have a bridge in SF i want to sell you Signing Tim Raines as first-base coach nixes any thought of benching/trading Willie. Whether from the fans of front office, everyone seems to believe Raines will teach Harris the fine art of basestealing. Don't know how this will work out. You can sign me for a contract and I'd just tell Harris to quit being a pussy and run. While I've been jumping aboard the Palanco wagon, I just don't forsee this organization signing a suitable 2B replacement. Harris can become a solid player, but he splits against lefties only complicates this situation.
November 18, 200421 yr I can live with Willie even if I'd rather not. Also, I wouldn't classify his 04 season as limited playing time, he played enough to pretty much call it a full season. I think he'll probably play better this year but he better start stealing bases or I want nothing to do with him.
November 18, 200421 yr Quickman did you pick up my phone message, what's the matter with you (and your inbox)?
November 18, 200421 yr Rivas/ cuddyer combo. Hey, Rivas is 3 years straight now. He must be fantastic! And that's the first team we've got to be concerned with anyway. You might get an argument about Pokey Reese, but what an awful hitter, I'd throw him in too. But for the real icing, pull out the Enrique Wilson. (He started over 1/3 of the Yankees games this season, yeesh.)

(He started over 1/3 of the Yankees games this season, yeesh.) You are right, the Twins are not big on Rivas at all. They've been b****ing about him for at least a year, they think he's hardheaded and lazy. He had that great first year and it's been downhill since. Rivas needs a change of scenery and he'll get one. When the Twins give up on you, that should be a sign for other GM's to stay away, they don't make too many mistakes in talent evaluation.
November 19, 200421 yr FWIW, Kenny said he's "comfortable" with Uribe at SS and Willie at 2nd. Of course, he HAS to say that now. I said this at the end of last season and I'll say it again. If our infield is Harris, Uribe and Crede, it will be a long year in 2005.
