November 23, 200421 yr 10. Finley- San Deigo, Los Angeles, San Fransico in that order, period 9. Radke- Please, this guy is a top-notch Free Agent (from from "value") 8. Lima- I still think he'll remain a Dodger; he'd get rocked in the AL 7. Cormier- Sure...why not 6. Mercker- Big fan of Kent; certainly someone to consider 5. Polanco- Should be #1 on this list; will probably be a RedBird 4. Kline- Already getting fitted for his pinstripes 3. Clement- Not a big fan; will contribute, but to what extent 2. Perez- Yes 1. Dave f***ing Dellucci- You have got to be kidding right? Watch out Cooperstown!
November 23, 200421 yr 1. Dave f***ing Dellucci- You have got to be kidding right? Watch out Cooperstown! What's so bad about Dellucci? Granted: His splits are awful. But he's good against rhp, and he did it last season for $100K less than Timo. That is a good bargain. (As for being the BEST bargain, well, I don't know, but I don't care much about the ordering of these things.)
November 23, 200421 yr Concerning Clement.... He's the same age as Kris Benson with a better track record and more durability, but should come cheaper than Benson's $22.5 million, three-year deal with the Mets. If that's the case, sign him up.
November 24, 200421 yr I got a kick from reading this. 6. Kent Mercker, RP: Fearless, Mercker is more than a left-handed specialist. The former starter held batters to a .195 average the past three years after 15 pitches (.259 before). Batters hit only .174 against him with runners in scoring position in that span. Mercker is also a stand-up guy who has been a popular clubhouse influence during his 15-year career. He turns 37 in February.
