Did everett fall of the face of the planet?

I have the same question. I keep hearing all this talk about Beltran and other outfielders, but didn't we just ink Crazy Carl to a 2 year deal? Did we do that to turn around a few motnhs later and trade him or let him ride the bench?

Everett signed a potential two year deal last off season. He exersized his option for 2005, and that is the only obligation we have to him.
