October 6, 200223 yr I agree with your comparison but I never want to be compared with Oakland. Oaklands fans blow. CAN'T even get near a sellout and I don't care how big that stadium is cause the playoff tickets were cheap. What a joke A's fans are and the city of Oakland is for not supporting them. At least when the Sox make the playoffs, the place sells out instantly. The Angels are the team I compare most to the Sox. Never used to draw, while the team on the other part(THE DODGERS and CUBS) draw 3 million or so every year.

But your the guy b****ing about the Durham trade. Ray sucks. yeah we should have gotten more and we got f***ed. Adkins could turn into a solid reliever, but I doubt he'll amount into much of a starter.

They just happen to look alike, despite the fact that they should look different except they happened to both get such similar genes. oh what are they............. TWINS that is right i forgot that they are TWINS Why don't we change the name of the boards to TwinsTalk.com ok,

I seriously doubt the Sox would sell-out a play-off game if the Cubs were also in the post-season, especially if both teams played on the same day.
October 6, 200223 yr Adkins would be a interesting as a closer.... but thats a stretch. I think you'll be seeing him in charlotte for a loooooong time.
October 6, 200223 yr True, but I still don't think that should make a difference. Those two cities can easily support two teams. Of course the A's stadium is a lot worse then Comiskey. I still say Comiskey ranks right their with Anaheim stadium, imo.

October 6, 200223 yr Exactly, I think he's got good potential as a reliever because their you can get away with only having two pitches and from what I hear his slider is getting real good, and we all know he's got a great fastball.
October 6, 200223 yr I loved seeing those thunder sticks, I wish the sox would do something like that. I think they tried it with those white sox they used to hand out, but that didnt really catch on. Still was kinda kool to see.

Man, even with only 25,000 people... that is still a sight to see. I think a s***load of people were waving them in 1993 when they beat the s***bag Mariners for the division clincher.
October 6, 200223 yr The A's ones were cheesy cause they were two colors. To me they are cool if your team has an original color like the Angels with red. That color sticks out and they were all the same color so it had a huge effect, imo. The Sox could do that with the color black or even silver and it would look pretty cool, imo.

I think Black Thunder sticks or sox would be badass! We need to start winning first though!

I think that if they have the type of atmosphere that the angels had, then were talking about a different series. The Angels seriously had a 10th man on the field at ALL times, they cheered after strike pitched and every ball taken, that imo was a crucial factor in the downfall of the yankees..... not taking away anything from the beating the halos put on em but I think that crowd was electric.
October 7, 200223 yr Originally posted by ChisoxfnI liked how the Twins said, Ray was the guy who counted us out and then look who made the final out. I hated that our players yapped and didn't give them a chance. Maybe next year we'll take them for real and shutup and simply play ball like we started doing late in the season. YOUR the guy who wants Ray BACK!!!!!! Piss on Ray. Minnesota is a better team, deal with it. Maddux is coming. Clemens so just take it.

October 7, 200223 yr I'm still trying to decide if JR will go that far as to get Maddux. He wants a pitcher, but i wonder if he'll pay a boras guy?
