Green to DBacks

Featured Replies

ESPN's bottom line is reporting that Shawn Green has waived his no-trade clause and has accepted a three year deal.

At least the saga is over.

Arizona is quickly becoming one of the worst mlb teams in the major ( stupidity wise).

Reminds me of the Mets and Orioles...cept the Mets might actually be decent this year.

The other prospects the Dodgers get along with Navarro.

23-year-old right-handers Beltran Perez and Danny Muegge are the other two prospects the Dodgers will get from the Diamondbacks in the Shawn Green trade.

Dioner Navarro and William Juarez were part of the earlier deal. Perez has been around for quite some time, but his progress has stalled and he's nothing more than a decent relief prospect. Muegge, a 2003 19th-round pick out of the Univ. of Texas, was 14-4 with a 3.12 ERA, 149 H and 104/42 K/BB in 153 IP for Single-A South Bend last season. He's unlikely to make it to the majors.
